WELCOME TO ROAD RAISE

Road Raise was founded in 2015 to raise vital funds and awareness for CanTeen. Proudly presented by Duncan Basher Hannon for the 3rd year running, Road Raise is fast becoming a highly-sought after event for like-minded professionals with a love of cycling, a sense of community and a desire to push their physical boundaries.

Thanks to the incredible efforts of those involved in Road Raise, CanTeen had raised over $300,000 in the past 2 years which has supported young people cope with cancer in their family, rebuild their foundations and connect with others in the same boat.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

5 Young people in SA aged 12-25 are faced with the challenge of cancer each day, whether it’s their own diagnosis or their parent, brother or sister.

We get it. Just when life should be full of possibilities, cancer crashes into a young person’s world and shatters everything. CanTeen is the game changer.

We help young people aged 12-25 cope with their own cancer or cancer in their family. Through CanTeen, they learn to explore and deal with their feelings about cancer, connect with other young people in the same boat and if they’ve been diagnosed themselves, we  provide specialist, youth-specific treatment teams.

By feeling understood and supported, young people develop resilience and can rebuild the foundations that crumbled beneath them when cancer turned their life upside down. That’s how CanTeen is the difference

ROAD RAISE SCHOOLS

Road Raise Schools is a month-long challenge run through March and April 2018, which aims to raise funds and awareness for CanTeen.

Students and staff from a selection of South Australian schools with a love of keeping active, a sense of community and a desire to push their boundaries aim to raise a combined $50,000. We are encouraging students to register as an individual or team and get active by scootering, skating, running or walking!

This campaign will fund an incredible 1,250 hours of peer support to help young people in South Australia cope with cancer in their family, rebuild foundations and connect with others in a similar situation.

If you or your school would like to get involved in Road Raise Schools, please contact the CanTeen team on: P: 8122 6492  E: sa.nt@canteen.org.au
